1. Smeg BCC02
This sleek, compact, and striking machine, created by the Milan-based firm Deep Design combines the brand's retro aesthetic with the latest technology. It takes care of every step of the coffee-making process - from grinding beans and shaping them into a puck, to texturing milk and dispensing the right amount - so you can create barista-quality hot beverages at the touch of the button.
The machine also has an attractive brushed aluminum front and comes in a variety of black, red or taupe, so it's a great fit for most kitchen designs. It's not without its shortcomings however: the majority of reviewers thought it was a bit expensive for a bean to cup maker (and it doesn't come with a milk pitcher).
There were also many glowing reviews about the quality of the coffee and the ease of use of this machine. The digital display provides feedback and step-by-step directions throughout the entire process of brewing which will allow you to perfect your drink every time. It even allows you to alter the size of the grind if it's not quite right. It's like having a personal barista at home (minus Elon Musk's rocket building abilities and Harry Potter's invisible cape).
This model is ideal for those who like milky drinks. bean to cup coffee machine is adjustable to the right and left so that it fits most drinking vessels, excluding Viking drinking horns. We were also awed by the speed and efficiency at how the frothing was accomplished. It also produces an excellent espresso, with a fantastic crema and full-bodied flavor despite its small size.
The BCC02 is a great all-rounder. It's quiet and efficient, and it provides excellent value for money with its current price of PS499. The only issue is the fact that it doesn't provide the same degree of customization like some of the other bean to cup models we've tested. It has a 15 bar pump, rather than the usual 19 bars, which isn't as good to make high-quality espressos. But other than that, this is a fantastic bean-to-cup machine for those who prefer their coffee strong and dark. Click here to see Lavazza's amazing deal.
